Christmas in Estepona, like in all cities, begins with the lighting of the decorations, which has recently been done in mid-November, but this year the energy decree has given us a bit of a break and it didn’t start until after December 1st. We cannot overlook the fact that, over the years, the Christmas period has been stretched like chewing gum, now spanning more than a month, with the risk of not having the strength to keep eating, drinking, and celebrating when the main dates of Christmas arrive; on Christmas Eve, we are already counting the days until it ends, and there will still be two weeks of festivities and overindulgence left.
This is the case because, from the moment the lights are turned on, the carousel of events and activities offered by Estepona’s social calendar is dizzying. There are all kinds of shows, both secular and religious: plays, music, dance, gastronomic and sports events, and of course, the typical acts of such significant dates. Let’s list them by themes.
