One of life’s little pleasures is having a good cup of coffee in good company. In Estepona we have many options with distinctive touches that cover virtually all tastes. Plain, long, short, cloudy, stained, with milk, American, with ice… and of course with sugar, without sugar, with sweetener, with saccharine… and with whole, semi, soy milk… As you can see, the possibilities are practically endless. In this article we invite you to explore some of the best coffee shops in Estepona. And as always, this is simply our opinion and in no case do we receive any compensation for promoting any of these businesses. Will you join us?
10- Cafetería Oliveri
The coffee is very good and if you can also enjoy it with a good view of the sea, we have the complete package. This is what Cafeteria Oliveri offers. It is also a great choice for coeliacs, who can accompany their coffee with a delicious gluten-free brownie. If you are not looking for coffee, the menu also includes vegan and vegetarian dishes.
Paseo Marítimo Pedro Manrique, 29680 Estepona, Málaga
9- Cafetería La Italiana
Located in the heart of Estepona, in the Plaza Doctor Arce (also known as the square of the posh), the Cafeteria Italiana is a place that is always fashionable. Many tourists and foreign residents of Estepona enjoy the sun on the sun terrace of this café-ice-cream parlor. The coffee is Lavazza, an Italian brand par excellence, but perhaps what attracts the most attention are the gigantic Italian ice creams (yes, there are also ice creams with coffee). If you are strolling through the old town and need to take a break, this is a highly recommended place.
Plaza Doctor Arce, 29680 Estepona, Málaga
8- Cafe Del Gino
The coffee is really good and if you accompany it with any of the sweets or crepes that are available, even more. The ice creams are not bad either. To put a but, they don’t have anything on the menu that is designed for celiacs. The service is very attentive and especially the waitress is very nice. By the way, the terrace on hot days is a delight.
Avenida Juan Carlos I, 5B, 29680 Estepona, Málaga
7- Crepería Café Zulú
This is about coffee, pancakes and homemade waffles. Delicious everything. Its location on the seafront is unbeatable and the service is fantastic. In spite of being where it is and seeming to be a particularly touristy place, the quality-price ratio is very good. Just compare with the surrounding bars and restaurants. Without a doubt, a great success.
Avenida España, 3, Local 12, Paseo Marítimo, 29680, Estepona
6- The Coffee Club
A must stop if you are in the Isdabe area. In addition to having a coffee in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, they also have a wide menu of international food and in particular, a German gastronomic proposal that is worth trying. If you go at night, you may even find a party with live music.
Urbanización Matas Verdes 1, 29688, Estepona, Málaga
5- Etcétera Café Bar
An excellent coffee accompanied by a simple but very well cared for menu, with fresh ingredients and homemade preparations. If you feel like a place to eat healthy, Etcétera Café Bar is your place of reference. And if you are a lover of taking care of even the smallest detail, you will love it, because the presentation of everything you order is thought out to the millimeter. A great discovery.
Calle Real 19, 29680, Estepona, Málaga
4- Tolone
A classic of Estepona two steps from the sea. Especially known for its juices, smoothies and, of course, its natural coffees. If you like tea, this is also an excellent option. Great location, friendly service, terrace overlooking the beach or if you prefer, a cozy interior. The truth is that for many it is their favorite place in Estepona and we can’t disagree with them, because it has it all. If you are passing by in the afternoon or if you feel like having a drink, be sure to try their mojito. It is very top.
Plaza Ortiz 11, 29680, Estepona, Málaga
3- Honoré Boulangerie
An excellent place to start the day, at the time we already included it among the best places to go for breakfast in Estepona. And yes, the coffee is very good. Even more if you accompany it with any of their pastries or cakes. Everything that comes out of this bakery is delicious. So now you know, if you feel like drinking 100% Arabica coffee in a French ambiance, this is your destination.
Calle de San Roque 2, 29680, Estepona, Málaga
2- Café de Theresa
To me it is one of those cafés that remind me of a romantic movie. It is the perfect setting for storytelling. Maybe it’s just me, but I had to say it. Theresa’s Café is a corner where everything is done with a smile and everyone is welcome. If you are vegetarian, vegan, or simply want something that fits your diet, here is what you are looking for. The coffee comes from a brand from the Basque Country called Baqué and everything you order is always top quality, made with fresh ingredients and respecting the environment. A real luxury to have cafes like this one in Estepona.
Avenida de San Lorenzo 18, 29680, Estepona, Málaga
1- Love by Noya
In the first place we have a bet on resilience and dreams fulfilled: Love by Noya. This café was born twice: the pandemic ensured that the first time it only remained open for a week. But that’s all in the past and Love by Noya is back to stay. I would recommend ordering a tostada or one of their famous acai bowls. By the way, don’t leave without asking what Denmark has to do with Peru, the story is very interesting.
Calle Real 37, 29680, Estepona, Málaga
I’m sure we’ve forgotten about that coffee shop you like. Please tell us where you like to drink your coffee in the comments. If it is already difficult to choose the 10 best coffee shops in Estepona, it is even more difficult to order them. Like almost everything, this selection is subjective and open to all kinds of criticism and different points of view. The only thing we intend with this article is to discover (if you don’t already know them) some of the corners of our beautiful Estepona where it is worth savoring a good coffee. We hope you find it useful.
