If you are in Estepona and want to have one or more drinks but don’t know where to go, here is a selection carefully made by authentic Estepona professionals of the evening and nightlife. Before proposing it, I would like to inform you that If you are going on a bachelor party or similar, Estepona may not be the best destination on the Costa del Sol, But if what you want is a quiet time with friends, sitting on a terrace and then if things go wrong you can end up giving it all on a dance floor, you have options for all tastes.
10. La Pepa Centro.
They moved from the port to the center to an old house renovated as a cocktail bar giving a very nice result, it has several interior spaces and a terrace with comfortable chairs. It is undoubtedly an appropriate place for long after-dinner meals.

9. Rick’s Café Puerto.
The closest thing to a “gintonería” you can find in Estepona, if what you like is to drink gin and tonics with cardamom and all kinds of nonsense, this is your place. It has billiards and they show soccer, if you have children it can be very advisable because it is a totally pedestrian terrace and every time they serve you a drink they accompany it with a basket of popcorn that leaves them entertained for a good while.

8. Bar Don Reinaldo.
Located in the middle of Calle Real, it is a cocktail bar with a small but very lively interior space, its terrace is a little bigger and full of high and low tables. Ideal to meet for refreshments before going for dinner downtown.

7. Mykonos Music Club.
Port nightlife for twenty-somethings with indoor dance floor and outdoor terrace with bongs and so on. They have live performances from time to time. If you’re over 30, I don’t think you’ll go past the goalkeeper’s tape by choice.

6. No Sólo Salsa Dance.
Local located in the industrial area of Estepona, it will not be close to you unless you finish very late from working in a nearby warehouse. They offer salsa and bachata classes and it is an ideal place to show off your Latin rhythm and all your late-night professional bachatero skills.

5. Louie Louie Live Estepona.
A place where the rockers of Estepona live concerts and good music. Don’t even look if reggaeton is your thing. It is a bit irregular in terms of level of revelry, if you catch a day with a certain party or a good concert of a local band has a great atmosphere, however if you go on any day you may find that what you find are four cats who do not want to go home.

4. Café Bar Reinaldo Puerto.
Possibly the most successful bar in Estepona, its Happy hour at eight o’clock in the evening has been the quintessential meeting point for Estepona’s gangs for decades. During the day the terrace is its most frequented place and the interior is not worth much unless you go to the bathroom, but when the night comes that picks up strength based on good music and people dancing transforming into a spectacular night club for the forty-somethings.

3. O’Donoghue’s Irish Pub.
Don’t ask for this bar in Estepona by its real name because nobody uses it or knows it, everyone calls it “the Irish”. During the day it is quiet and its decoration is that of the typical Irish bar that you can find in any town, but when it gets dark it becomes a good night pub if you are looking for dancing or flirting a little. Its shortcoming is that it tends to be too crowded on the most important dates.

2. Sala Duende.
It is an old-fashioned place and it has merit because it is quite large and it is in the middle of the main street of the port. Even so, it still maintains that nightclub spirit that attracts those of us who like the night so much. It has a foosball table and if you are looking to have a good time or even finish the evening with company, it may be the best place to do so. In summer they only put a jet of air conditioning in a crappy VIP area they have, which is reportable for misleading advertising (puts pub instead of sauna) and with everything and that is still filled every night.

1. Pub TJ.
A second generation family pub and the place to drink for the “esteponeros” par excellence. Located in the heart of the town, it was formerly a dark place frequented almost exclusively by men. They pedestrianized the street, put a terrace and reformed it, transforming it into something for everyone and all ages. It is ideal whether you go with or without children, they play soccer, the waiters are wonderful people and the atmosphere is one of friendship and fun. At two o’clock in the morning, according to municipal ordinances, they clear the terrace but open the night pub they have in the adjoining premises with music and dance area in case you still think it is not time to go home.

There are other places to have a drink alone or with friends in our town but after a thorough analysis we have selected these ten, if you like the Latin sure you miss the Old Vic and if you are a figure criticize us because it does not appear La Tanita, but the truth is that for us these are the ten best cocktail bars in Estepona.
