Starlite Music World’ in Estepona, a strategic commitment

Starlite’s ambition to expand its presence in Estepona has taken an important step forward. The regional government has officially recognized the ‘Starlite Music World’ project as a business investment of strategic interest for Andalusia.

The attractive project, which will be built in the area of La Panera, very close to the Selwo, will include the construction of ‘La Ciudad de la Música’ and ‘La Ciudad Audiovisual’, two spaces that promise to transform the cultural and entertainment landscape of Estepona.

A 286 million euro project

The Starlite Music World is a conglomerate of cultural, hotel, gastronomic and educational initiatives. With an expected investment of 286 million euros, the project is expected to generate around 450 new jobs.

The ‘City of Music’ will occupy eleven hectares and will include a boulevard with a lake, a central plaza, restaurants and an artists’ area, along with an auditorium with a capacity for 15,000 spectators. In addition, the project contemplates the creation of a 200-room hotel and a conference center.

The Audiovisual City will extend over almost six hectares, incorporating recording studios and sets of between 1,500 and 3,000 square meters, equipment warehouses and internal service areas.

When will the Starlite Music World be operational?

Neither the developer nor the City Council have yet given an estimated date for the start of the project, which still has to pass the urban and environmental processing of both the local administration and the Junta de Andalucía. What do you think of this new Estepona bet?
