The Estepona Town Hall has prepared a series of events to celebrate the emblematic and traditional ‘Noche de San Juan’, which will take place next Friday, June 23rd. This festivity, so awaited by the locals and visitors, promises to be an occasion full of joy and fun for all Esteponeros. Here is the official program so that you don’t miss a single one.

Magic Market
The celebration of the Night of San Juan in Estepona is not limited to the shortest night of the year. Throughout the weekend there will be activities. What’s more, it starts on Thursday with the Magic Market. Come to the Paseo Marítimo and enjoy each and every one of the stalls that will be waiting for you in front of the beach of Estepona.
The opening will take place on Thursday 22, at 6:00 pm. Until June 25 you can enjoy craft and food stalls, fire shows, workshops, animation, axe shooting and exhibitions from 12:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 24:00 hours.

Burning of the Whiskers of San Juan
At 21:00 hours will begin the XLIII Contest of ‘Burning of the Mustaches of San Juan’, where rag dolls called ‘Júas’ are burned. Entities, neighborhood associations and groups may participate with prior registration until June 15.
The City Council will award prizes for first, second and third place, as well as for the most original, atmospheric and popular ‘Quemas’. The ‘Quemas’ of the contest will be lit at 00:00 hours, at the beginning of the Night of San Juan.

San Juan Concert with Javier Ojeda (Danza Invisible) & Guest Friends
On this occasion, the beach of La Rada will be the perfect setting to host the exciting free concert entitled ‘Más de 2.000 noches sin dormir’ (More than 2.000 sleepless nights), starring Javier Ojeda. Starting at 10:00 p.m., a unique presentation will begin in which the renowned artist will not only delight the audience with his latest solo album, but will also perform a musical journey through more than 40 years of career and the most outstanding hits of ‘Danza Invisible’.
